Dr. Brian Mather
Brian Mather is the owner of Spokane Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic. Dr. Mather is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®. He has been the team chiropractor for the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club since 2001, and has been in practice here in Spokane since 1996. He was born and raised in Spokane, and graduated in 1996 from Western States Chiropractic College, with honors. He has been nationally certified in Cox® Decompression Therapy, Graston® Instrument Soft Tissue Mobilization Technique, and does Kinesio Taping® as well.
Dr. Mather served as chiropractor for the 2007 & 2010 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships and is a consultant to many of the areas semi professional and collegiate athletic teams in Spokane. After 20 years of treating athletes he opened The Academy Of Sports Performance, which specializes in the training and development of athletes to prevent injury. The Academy specializes in working with athletes and teams to help develop their strength, speed, power and agility. The Academy has worked with many of the local high school and premier club sports teams and has seen those teams go on to accomplish great results.
While Dr. Mather’s area of speciality is the Sacroiliac joint and pelvis and while he has a large sports practice, he is very good at treating all musculoskeletal conditions and treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. He is married with 3 children and enjoys spending his free time with his family.
Dr. Cory Cooper
DC, ATC, ART®
Dr. Cory Cooper joined Spokane Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic in 2013. As an athletic trainer and collegiate baseball player, he understands the wear and tear of being an active individual. He attended University of Western States for his chiropractic education and Whitworth University for athletic training. Dr. Cooper firmly believes in treating the pain or discomfort for every individual, along with finding the cause to correct the issue. His ultimate goal is to help his patients recover rapidly and give them the necessary education to remain injury-free. Dr. Cooper is certified in Graston® Instrument Soft Tissue Mobilization Technique, credentialed as a Certified Kinesio® Taping Provider (CKTP), and a full body provider of Active Release Technique® (ART®).
Dr. Cooper has served as the team chiropractor for Pacific University, Warner Pacific College, and the Spokane Wolfpack. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family; his wife, Gretchen daughter, Zoey, and son Flynn.
Dr. Jen Matsch
DC, CCSP®, ART®
Jen is an associate at Spokane Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic. Dr. Matsch is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. She has worked in Spokane since 2016 after graduating from the University of Western States, with honors. She also received her Master of Science degree in Exercise Sports Science, working in high school training rooms and sports teams around the Portland area. She is full body certified in Active Release Technique® and has enjoyed working with Ironman as well as collegiate and high school athletes to improve mechanical function and performance.
While growing up in Spokane, Dr. Matsch took a hard fall at the age of 14 putting her in a state of constant, debilitating pain that kept her from dancing and cheering. It was when she finally received chiropractic care a year later that her passion for helping others took flight. Knowing she wanted to be involved with the medical profession, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Linfield College, went on to study chiropractic, and has returned home to provide care for the general public and local athletes.
Dr. Matsch enjoys treating patients from all ages, newborns to matured adults, as well as patients with all types of injuries. She is an avid sports fan, and loves the WSU Cougars. She enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, reading, and spending time with her family.
Chris joined Spokane Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic in 2012 and is a Licensed Massage Practitioner that is full body certified in Active Release Technique®. ART® is one of the worlds premier soft tissue treatments that is found in the training rooms of most professional sports teams. He is also certified as a nerve entrapment specialist and is Ironman® certified with ART® as well. Chris and Dr. Mather started The Academy Of Sports Performance which specializes in the training and development of athletes to prevent injury. The Academy specializes in working with athletes and teams to help develop their strength, speed, power and agility. In addition to being one of the clinics soft tissue specialists, he oversees a large majority of our rehab programs as well.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Chris attended Creighton University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. While attending Creighton he excelled as a member of the baseball team and was drafted by the Texas Rangers. After completing
his degree, he played four years in the Ranger’s organization, making his way as high as triple A.
Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and just about anything outdoors. Chris moved to Spokane after marrying his wife who he met while playing for the Spokane Indians Baseball Club.
Jessica has proudly worked at Spokane Chiropractic since 2006. She graduated from Inland Massage Institute and has been practicing massage since 2004. Jessica was selected as one of the massage therapists for the 2007 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships. Outside of massage her many interests include fishing, camping and spending quality time with her husband boating on the river.
Sarah joined Spokane chiropractic in 2016, after graduating from Inland Massage Institute. She carries certifications in Cupping, Pregnancy Massage, Sports Massage and has competed in several sports herself. Her specialty is barrel racing and roping- she’s our only official rodeo queen!
She felt called to this profession after Dr. Mather and his team helped her heal from her own injuries in a riding accident. She understands pain, and she’s well equipped to help you recover or relax.
Nikki is a Spokane native who graduated with her degree in Business Marketing from Seattle Pacific University. She is Dr. Mather’s chiropractic assistant (basically his right arm, fortunately he is left handed). She enjoys and keeps very busy planning and coordinating weddings.
Jinger has worked in the chiropractic industry since 2006. In her free time she love crafting, vintage shopping, working in the garden and spending time at Priest Lake with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
Lindsay graduated from Biola University in Souther California with a degree in Communication Studies where she also played volleyball from 2007-2011. She has coached volleyball at Northwest Christian School in Colbert for many years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children as well as family and friends.
Auburn is a Spokane native who attended Mead High School. Auburn enjoys traveling with friends as well as backpacking and fly fishing across the Pacific Northwest with her German Shepherd, Chief.
JoAnn has been the billing specialist at Spokane Chiropractic since 2017. She has a Bachelors Degree from Cal State Long Beach. She loves her job because the clinic’s staff has a family-like atmosphere. JoAnn enjoys traveling, and spending time with family & friends. She has been married since 1991 and she has two children.
