Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic is a very safe form of treatment for neuromusculoskeletal issues, as it works without the use of pharmaceuticals or invasive therapies. Of course, any health treatment, whether from a chiropractor or a medical doctor does have its risks. Research is showing that chiropractic is considerably safer than other treatments for musculoskeletal pain, such as over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Children can certainly benefit from chiropractic care. We work with the patient and parents or guardians to develop a safe and effective treatment plan personalized for the child’s optimal health. Chiropractic doctors generally study pre-med in their undergraduate college education, studying biology, organic chemistry, psychology, and more. Upon acceptance, applicants study for four to five years at a chiropractic college, gaining a minimum of 4,200 hours of experience in the classroom, laboratory, and clinics.
What’s that noise?
When the joint is manipulated, a gas bubble pops, making the sound you hear. This is the same thing that happens when you “crack” your knuckles. It is simply the result of a pressure change within the joint. It is typically not an uncomfortable experience.

At Spokane Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic, our patients’ wishes are respected. Most treatments will call for multiple adjustments, but the number required for relief or recovery is dependent upon a number of factors. Whether or not you choose ongoing support care is up to you.

When you receive an adjustment at Spokane Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic, you will benefit from the doctors’ extensive education and experience.
